2026 Celtic Festival Fine Art Print: Boar of Wisdom
Each piece is created to tell a story and has become a visual invitation to an annual celebration of music, dance, storytelling and craft art in the Celtic tradition.
Prints will include the title Boar of Wisdom with my signature and year, 2026 and will come in a clear bag with foam core backing.
Boar of Wisdom 2026
The boar has been described as “perhaps the most important
zoomorphic symbol for the Celts” (Miranda Green). Guardian of
the forest and carrier of wisdom and courage, this boar calls us to
stand our ground.
In Celtic tradition it is associated with feasting and hospitality —
in this world and the next — but also with the warrior’s path and
the hunt. It embodies nourishment and ferocity, protection and
power.
A circular well rests at the hip, holding three swimming salmon in
a triskele of movement — an echo of the Salmon of Knowledge
and the cyclical nature of wisdom. A hazel tree grows beside the
well, rooted in earth and recalling the tree whose nuts feed both
salmon and boar.
A crane extends along the back, offering watchfulness, and
perspective from above, sharing its eye with the boar, while a
dragon spirals fire toward the snout.
The sun rests at the heart — a seed reminding us to stand in the
light of our inner wisdom.
